Wayne R. Wiggin, Sr., aged 82, of Dover, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 4, 2025, after a period of declining health.

Born in Rochester on November 26, 1942, to LeRoy C. and Dorothy J. (Wiggin) Wiggin, Wayne was a lifelong resident of the Southern New Hampshire and Seacoast area.

He honorably served in the Army National Guard for six years.

Wayne dedicated 27 years of his career as a truck driver with H.P. Hood before retiring.

Post-retirement, he continued to serve the community by driving a bus for First Student Transportation in the Dover school district.

As an active member of True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester, Wayne held his church responsibilities and the congregation close to his heart.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Dorothy M. (Cammett) Wiggin; son Wayne R. Wiggin, Jr. and wife Crystal of East Rochester, NH; daughter Pamela J. Burnham and husband Wyman of North Berwick, ME; son Jeffrey L. Wiggin of Nottingham, NH; sister Ann L. Downs of Lancaster, NH; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his half-brothers, Harry and Clayton Wiggin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 9 a.m. at True Memorial Baptist Church, 21 Ten Rod Rd., Rochester, followed by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Options for Women, 120 Washington St., Rochester, NH.

On the same day, the community will gather for the Lilac Family Fun Festival at Spaulding High School and the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center from 4:00 to 9:00 PM.

The event features free kiddie carnival rides, games, food trucks, local vendors, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and concludes with a fireworks show.

Attendees are advised that Chestnut Hill Road will be closed from 8:45 PM to 9:45 PM to accommodate the fireworks display.

Parking is limited; consider parking downtown and walking to the event.
