Richard L. Dupuis, aged 77, of Gonic, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 23, 1947, in Dover, New Hampshire, Richard was the son of George and Eva (Dauphinais) Dupuis.
He dedicated his career to Avco Finance, retiring at 50 to embrace his role as a cherished "Pepere" to his grandchildren.
Richard shared 57 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Rachel "Che Che" (Nadeau) Dupuis, always affectionately referring to her as "My Bride."
A devoted member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter 2048 in Rochester, NH, Richard was deeply involved in his community.
His passion for gardening was evident; he found immense joy in cultivating vegetables and flowers.
Whether tending to seedlings in his greenhouse, crafting Christmas wreaths for loved ones, or selling fresh produce at his farm stand, Richard's dedication to his craft was unwavering.
He is survived by his wife, Che Che; his son, Richard "Red" and his wife Melanie; three grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah, and Samuel; his brothers, Euclide & Arlene (Crystal Rivers, FL), Victor & Lucille, Gerard & Elaine (Gonic, NH); and his sisters, Lorraine Moyna (Winchendon, MA) and Marie & Robert Nadeau (Madbury, NH).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Armand and Francis.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers, Jody and Sandy, for their exceptional care over the years, and to the staff at Watson Fields for their support in his final months.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at St. Martin Catholic Church, 120 Maple St, Somersworth, NH, with visitation beginning one hour prior at the church.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Somersworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Richard's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
