Beloved mother and community member remembered for her warmth and humor

Exclusive

Doris M. Walker, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH.

Born on December 24, 1934, in Dover, NH, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Pauline (Carle) Cornellier.

Doris dedicated much of her life to working in local shoe shops and retail stores, retiring from TJ Maxx in 1997.

She cherished life's simple pleasures—puzzles, word searches, elephants, and her beloved dogs, especially Ziggy.

Her sense of humor, gentle spirit, and devotion to family made her deeply loved by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, David Walker; her son, Ronald Walker; and her son-in-law, Mark Shirley.

Doris is survived by her children: Arthur Walker and his wife, Vicki, of Rochester; Debra Devine and her husband, Walter, of Rochester; Sandra Junge and her husband, Brad, of Bradenton, FL; and Donna Shirley of Manning, SC.

She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to local animal shelters, reflecting Doris's love for animals.

Services will be held at a later date.

As the Rochester community prepares for the upcoming Lilac Family Fun Festival on July 12, 2025, Doris's family invites friends and neighbors to celebrate her life by enjoying the festivities she so loved.

She will be dearly missed.
